Charlie Cutler, Kent Whitnah and Connie Butts had respect for one another’s talents years before they went into business together. The three have decades of combined experience in the wholesale floral industry — in sales and sales management, fresh flower buying and general management — and Kent has also been in and around the retail side of the floral business his entire life.
Combining their unique abilities, the three have put together a devoted team of dedicated employees. They partner with a goal of contributing to the success of fresh flower and floral hardgood resellers in the state of Oklahoma and bordering cities.
Sooner Wholesale offers the friendliest and most reliable service, and the freshest and most reasonably priced flowers with the widest array of hardgoods — where and when they’re needed.
Sooner Wholesale opened on Labor Day Weekend 2001, one week before the fall of the twin towers. The Sooner team pulled together and persevered in the face of adversity. And excelled.
Now operating from a new 9,000 square foot facility just north of I-40 on MacArthur Boulevard with new phone and point-of-sale systems, the facility was built to specification and includes dock-high loading and unloading, a state-of-the-art 2100 square foot cooler that keeps perishables cooled to a true 34 degrees Fahrenheit, and a climate controlled, key-code accessed after-hours pick-up station that is available for customer convenience 24 hours a day, seven days a weeks.
Sooner began servicing the Tulsa area in January 2008 and opened the Tulsa Branch only four months later.
Sooner Wholesale Inc. is Oklahoma’s up-and-coming wholesale floral industry leader. The owners and the employees pride themselves on maintaining the agility of a smaller business while providing large-scale operations and innovative solutions that benefit local floral resell businesses.
